Noted preacher A. Louis Patterson Jr. dies



Dr. A, Louis Patterson Jr., pastor of Mount Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, and nationally recognized preacher, died April 9th. He was 80 years old. Patterson led the Mount Corinth community for 44 years, was recognized by Ebony magazine as one of America’s greatest Black preachers and inducted into the Morehouse School of Religion’s Hall of Preachers.

Patterson preached more that 150 sermons, and conducted revivals throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.

Patterson is survived by his wife Melba Lorraine, and children Anthony, Alan, and Alette.

  1. We did have to say farewell to another one of God’s solider who was call home. I will truly missed him teaching the adult class in vacation bible school and Wednesday night bible study. May God’s grace and mercy continue to guide the Mount Corinth
